NEWMARKET – Representatives of both Provincial and Regional governments joined community leaders today to launch Welcome to York Region – www.yorkwelcome.ca – a significant information resource that welcomes prospective and recent immigrants to The Regional Municipality of York.

Markham Council Passes Tree Preservation Bylaw
MARKHAM, ON – June 25, 2008 – Markham Council has taken another step to protect the environment and promote a greener community. A new tree preservation bylaw was passed by Markham Council on Tuesday, June 24. The bylaw applies to all properties within Markham and provides strict controls to preserve mature trees.
